Focus and Scope
The Journal of Law & Justice Studies (JLJS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal publishing original research, case analyses, and policy-oriented scholarship in law, legal theory, and the pursuit of justice. The journal's scope includes constitutional law, human rights, criminal justice, comparative law, jurisprudence, and the intersection of law with social, political, and economic change, with particular attention to perspectives from and about Africa and the Global South.

JLJS provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are freely available to read, download, and share without subscription or paywall barriers.
