The Journal of Built Environment, Planning & Real Estate (JBEPRE) is a peer-reviewed academic journal publishing original research, case studies, and policy analyses on the design, planning, development, and management of the built environment. The journal's scope spans urban and regional planning, architecture, construction management, housing, infrastructure, and real estate economics, with particular attention to perspectives from and about Africa and the Global South.

JBEPRE provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are freely available to read, download, and share without subscription or paywall barriers.
